On 5 October, we celebrate Founders Day—a moment to honor 103 years of Sigma’s enduring legacy. For more than a century, Sigma has carried an unwavering belief in the power of nurses to transform healthcare worldwide. Today, that belief is stronger than ever, and I am grateful to be part of a community that inspires, endures, and leads with purpose.

Founders Day is not only a time to remember the courage and vision of our founders, but also a time to celebrate you. You are the heart of Sigma. Your dedication, your compassion, and your commitment are what make our mission real every single day. Thank you for the impact you create—for Sigma, for the profession, and for patients around the globe.

Just recently, our staff gathered for a multi-day retreat that reminded me of the importance of collaboration and vision. Together, we are shaping a workplace that reflects the same energy and commitment we aspire to deliver to you, our members. It’s one more way we’re building a stronger Sigma from the inside out.

Looking ahead, I cannot wait to connect with you in November at the 48th Biennial Convention—my first as your CEO. Convention is always a special time, but this year it will be more intentional, more energizing, and, I believe, more inspiring than ever before. I know I will leave convention encouraged by your stories and renewed by our shared purpose.

As we honor our past and look to the future, I am reminded that Sigma’s true strength lies in you. Together, we are shaping a bold path forward. The best is yet to come.
