A meaningful way to honor a special occasion or individual, or to remember a loved one is to make a gift to the Foundation in honor or memory of that person. Your gift makes a difference and pays tribute to a special person. 

If you are interested in making a tribute gift, check the box on the donation form that reads "Dedicate my donation to a loved one or colleague." You will have the option of requesting a notification to the honoree by email or mail.

If you have a donor-advised fund, you can recommend a grant to the Sigma Foundation for Nursing Donor-Advised Fund to invest in nurses whose research, leadership and expertise are advancing healthcare around the world.

If you’re eligible to make a qualified charitable distribution (QCD), you may be able to make a gift directly from your IRA to the Sigma Foundation for Nursing. Consult your tax or financial advisor to determine whether a QCD is right for you.

A gift of appreciated stocks, securities, or mutual fund shares is another way to support the Sigma Foundation for Nursing. 

Consult your tax or financial advisor to determine whether a gift of securities is right for you.

Create a lasting source of support for Sigma nurses and nursing by establishing an endowment with the Foundation. Your gift will be invested and managed in a Permanent Fund to provide ongoing support for nursing research, education, leadership and other opportunities for nurses around the world. 

A minimum gift of US $100,000 is required to establish a Permanent Fund with the Sigma Foundation for Nursing. 

Create a legacy for Sigma nurses by including the Sigma Foundation for Nursing in your will, trust, or estate plans. When you notify the Foundation of your planned gift, you can be recognized as a member of the Orchid Society.

When your chapter gives to the Sigma Foundation for Nursing, you help nurses from every global region access membership benefits, participate in Sigma Nursing events, and conduct research that advances healthcare worldwide.

Chapters that give annually at the following levels are recognized as members of the Chapter Giving Club for the fiscal year in which their gift is received.

• High-income countries: US $1 per member
• Middle-income countries: US $0.40 per member
• Low-income countries: US $0.20 per member
